Terre d'Hermès opens with a characteristically Ellena-esque precision: a burst of grapefruit and orange shot through with a distinctive flint mineral note that is entirely unique in the fragrance world. This mineral quality — stony, almost metallic — is the signature of the fragrance. The heart develops into a warm, complex core of pepper, geranium, and vetiver, grounding the bright opening in something darker and earthier. The drydown is all refined woods: cedar, patchouli, and benzoin create a beautifully deep, earthy finish.
